Our Personalized Pet/Music Visitation for Seniors

1
If you are a Senior Living Activity Director
We would love to visit your community and bring ukulele music with puppy snuggles.
We specialize in "one on one" individual room visits with residents and family members to create meaningful music interaction.
We also enjoy visiting with small groups of residents 8-10. This allows for more productive dialogue and interaction during our time together.

2
If you are a Family Member of a Senior
Consider hiring "Harmony and Me" to provide a personal room visit with music and dog snuggles for your loved one! This is the perfect meaningful activity for the family to join in as well (either in person or by FaceTime!) Dog treats and a personal picture will be provided during the visit to secure lasting memories for everyone!

3
If you are a lover of Seniors and Music and wish to sponsor a visit
Many seniors in care communities were negatively effected socially by covid isolation. Many are still overwhelmed by large groups and prefer the sense of safety and solitude in their rooms. If you would like to make a difference in the lives of these seniors, consider donating to "Harmony and Me' and we will provide personal visitations to several "socially challenged" residents in a local senior community.

Our Mission
To bring moments of joy to socially challenged seniors through music, puppy love and meaningful interaction.
We are currently focussed on serving senior living communities within Northeast Ohio. (40 minute radius from North Ridgeville)

"How did Harmony and Me" Get Started?
Hi, my name is Sheryl Patry. Since 2013, I have been blessed with the opportunity to care for Seniors in the capacity of Life Enrichment Assistant and Activities Director in multiple facilities. When I began to incorporate piano into many of the activities I planned for residents, I realized how music, combined with genuine compassion and joy, could comfort and lift the emotions of an entire room. While piano came first, soon after I decided to teach myself the ukulele, as it provided me with the ability to visit patients in their rooms that a piano did not.

I Surely Will Be Singing

You Are My Sunshine
Jill Walter
(Resident Family Member, Avon Lake, OH)
When Sheryl would play her ukulele, my mother and other residents would "light up" and you could feel sometimes the positive energy in the room. The day before my mother passed, Sheryl came in with her ukulele and played one of my mothers favorite songs "You are my Sunshine." Sheryl has a God Given Gift. My mother and I were blessed with her Gift! I am forever Grateful"

My mom Doris loved listening to Sheryl play music. Whether it was the piano or ukulele. She would sing along if she knew the song or I would see her tapping her foot to the music
